The truth is a large amount of manual labor and safety equipment required to properly disassemble a Tv. Most Tvs have a nearly zero recovery value and many companies charge to recycle TVs as a result.
Our belief is recycling includes all electronics and our goal is to  encourage TV recycling versus the landfill option. We found fees can change the outcome of how tvs are recycled, which is why we eliminated them.
